The sale of this purebred shih-tzu is made upon the following terms and conditions:
1. The total price of $________, with a deposit of $________, and a balance of $_________to be paid before
the transfer of the puppy to the buyer’s possession, or as agreed upon by both parties as noted below.

2. To the best of the seller’s knowledge, this puppy is in good health, free from symptoms of contagious or infectious
disease, and absent of any signs of genetic defect at the time of sale. It has been checked by a veterinarian and
received its first shot. If the buyer believes this puppy to be sick, the animal can be taken to a veterinarian of the
buyer’s choice within 14 days of purchase. (It is understood that animals 6 mos. of age must not be exposed to
other animals who may not have been fully immunized.) The puppy is guaranteed to be free from hereditary
crippling defects for up to 1 year of age. Any such defect must be agreed upon by two veterinarians acceptable
to both parties, and documented proof of such defect will be provided to the seller. If the puppy is in anything
but good health, due to disease only, the puppy may be returned to the seller along with its AKC registration
papers, and either a full refund or a replacement puppy mutually agreed upon by both parties will be provided.
No treatment is authorized. The seller is not responsible for any medical procedures the buyer initiates. (Hernias
and stenotic nares are not considered crippling hereditary defects.) In addition, no guarantee is made against
ailments or disease environments once the puppy leaves our premises. (i.e. parvo, kennel cough, coccidia, ect.)
or against sickness due to exposure, inadequate care, accidents, negligence, or abuse. The safety and well being
of the animal is the responsibility of the buyer from the time of transfer.
3. If purchasing the puppy with limited AKC registration, you are committing to having the puppy spayed or
neutered at an appropriate age (commonly by 6 mos.) The puppy will not be eligible for breeding, and doing so
will nullify the contract and require you to surrender the puppy to the seller void of any refund.
4. The seller assumes no responsibility for medical expenses, mortality, landlord’s disapproval, allergy, or any
other undesirable circumstances beyond the seller’s control once the dog has left the seller’s premises.
5. The seller is available to answer any questions the buyer may have in helping the puppy adjust to its new
environment. In addition, the seller reserves the right to be contacted in the event the buyer is for some
reason is unable to care for the said puppy. Please feel free to call or visit any time.
